Methodology
The concept system, data pipeline, and design principles behind the ISQ Browser. Built on a four-level concept hierarchy adapted from Pendrill (2024).
Concept System
The four-level hierarchy across three parallel axes — quantity, entity, and measurement. How ISO 80000 quantities are grouped into kinds, bound to entities, and instantiated as measurements.
Walkthrough
Follow one measurement — the length of a rod — through every level of the hierarchy, from abstract kind to 1.234 m ± 0.001. Each cell links to the live data in the browser.
Navigation
Five ways to browse the same dataset — by Part, by Kind, by Dimension, by Unit, or by Concept. Each reveals a different facet of the ISO 80000 & IEC 80000 series.
