Uniword bundles 23 open-source color schemes that replace the proprietary Microsoft theme colors. Each color scheme defines 12 theme colors used across document elements.

3. Color Scheme Structure

Each color scheme YAML file defines 12 OOXML theme colors:

  • dk1 — Dark 1 (primary dark, typically black)

  • dk2 — Dark 2 (secondary dark)

  • lt1 — Light 1 (primary light, typically white)

  • lt2 — Light 2 (secondary light)

  • accent1 through accent6 — Six accent colors

These colors are referenced throughout the document by theme color indices, ensuring consistency.
