3 Terminology (Terms and definitions)

The terms most frequently used in the load cell field and their definitions are given below (see 3.6 for an illustration of certain definitions). The terminology used in this Recommendation conforms to OIML V 2-200 International Vocabulary of Metrology — Basic and General Concepts and Associated Terms (VIM) OIML V 2-200:2012, to OIML V 1 International Vocabulary of Terms in Legal Metrology (VIML) OIML V 1:2013, to OIML D 9 Principles of metrological supervision OIML D 9:2004, to OIML D 11 General requirements for measuring instruments OIML D 11:2008, and to OIML B 18 Framework for the OIML Certification System (OIML-CS) OIML B 18:2018.
