Definition

EN

change in luminous energy with time, expressed by

Φ v = d Q v d t

where Q v is the luminous energy (luminous energy) emitted, transferred or received and t is time (ISO 80000-3: Space and time)

FR

Φ v = d Q v d t

où Q v est la quantité de lumière (luminous energy) émise, transportée ou reçue et t est le temps (ISO 80000-3: Space and time)

Notes

EN

Luminous flux is a quantity derived from the radiant flux (radiant flux), Φ e , by evaluating the radiation according to its action upon the CIE standard photometric observer. (See cie017,locality:term=17-738.)

Luminous flux can be derived from the spectral radiant flux distribution by

Φ v = K m ∫ 0 ∞ Φ e , λ ( λ ) V ( λ ) d λ

where K m is maximum luminous efficacy (maximum luminous efficacy <specified photometric condition>), Φ e , λ ( λ ) is spectral radiant flux (spectral radiant flux), V ( λ ) is spectral luminous efficiency (spectral luminous efficiency <specified photometric condition>) and λ is wavelength (ISO 80000-3: Space and time).

The corresponding radiometric quantity is "radiant flux" (radiant flux). The corresponding quantity for photons is "photon flux" (photon flux).

FR

Φ v = K m ∫ 0 ∞ Φ e , λ ( λ ) V ( λ ) d λ
