A gas analytical system shall undergo an external examination to obtain a general appraisal of its design and construction.

When testing a gas analytical system for compliance with the requirements of Clauses 4 and 5 of this Recommendation, the correctness of its operation shall be checked.

The operating manual for a gas analytical system shall be checked to ensure that correct procedures are clearly indicated, especially those specified in 6.2.
