2.10.7.3 Warm-up time

Test procedure in brief:

Stabilise the load cell at () and disconnect from any electrical supply for a period of at least 8 hours prior to the test.

Insert the load cell into the force-generating system.

Preload the load cell by applying a maximum test load, , then, returning to the minimum test load, , three times.

Allow the load cell to rest for 5 minutes. Connect the load cell to the power supply and switch on.

Record data:

As soon as a measurement result can be obtained, record the minimum test load output and the maximum test load, , applied.

Loading and unloading:

The maximum test load output shall be determined at time intervals as close as possible to those specified in Table 1 in 2.8.3 and recorded and the load should be returned to the minimum test load, . These measurements shall be repeated after 5, 15 and 30 minutes.

For load cells of class A, the provisions of the operating manual for the time following connection to electrical supply shall be observed.
