Full registered name of packer.

D.2.2

Full trading name(s) of packer, if applicable.

D.2.3

In the case of contract packers, the names and addresses of companies for which goods are packed and which will appear on prepackages as taking responsibility for the prepackages (see also relevant provisions in OIML R 79:2015).

D.2.4

Full postal address of the packer.

D.2.5

Full physical address of the packing plant.

D.2.6

Date of certification.

If applicable, specification of the mark of conformity to be applied to prepackages (see Annex E).

D.2.8

Scope of certification.

D.2.8.1

The scope should include a brief description of the products in such a way that it allows a prepackage to be identified as covered by the certificate. This should include a reference to which packaging system is used, i.e. average system in the case of OIML R 87:2016.

D.2.8.2

To give a clear description of the product, the following guidelines may be used in the description of the products:

  1. brand name or generic name describing the product in such a way that the products for which the packer is certified are covered. This description should be sufficiently complete to distinguish products that are included from those that are not included in the scope of certification;

  2. product description if necessary to distinguish from other products, e.g. liquid, powder, granules, paste, gel, semi-solid, etc.;

  3. unit of measurement in which marked;

  4. measuring range (smallest to largest quantity);

  5. type of packaging material if only certain packing materials are included in the scope of certification, e.g. sachets, tins, packets, glass/ plastic bottles, flexible bags, boxes, etc.; and

  6. other limitations if the scope of certification is restricted, e.g. only high viscosity liquids, un-carbonated soft drinks.

D.2.8.3

If all products packed by the packer are covered by the certificate, then it is only necessary to include a brief description, e.g.:

  1. powdered milk products between and ;

  2. foodstuffs by mass from to ;

  3. cosmetics by mass and volume ranging from to and to ;

  4. aerosols by mass and volume up to or ;

  5. toilet paper by length and pieces (count by number); or

  6. carbonated and un-carbonated soft drinks and beer in nominal quantities between and .

If only some of the products packed by the packer are covered by the certificate, then it would be necessary to have a more specific description, e.g.:

  1. powdered milk products in flexible bags between and bearing XYZ brand name;

  2. fruit preserves in glass bottles between and when packed for XYZ company; or

  3. aerosol perfumes in glass bottles between and .
